Eagles training camp roster reduced to 80 players as NFLPA says there will be no preseason games

The Philadelphia Eagles made two roster cuts on Tuesday and six or seven more will likely come as the team works to reduce the roster to about 70 players after the NFLPA told players around the league that there’ll be no preseason games according to Ian Rapoport.

According to Tom Pelissero, the players union is also pushing for a longer ramp-up period in training camp, along with the announcement of general agreements on voluntary and high-risk opt-outs along with an agreement on stipends if games are lost.

On Monday the two sides came to an agreement over daily testing for the first two weeks of training camp, which was one of the final major health and safety discussed over the weekend.
