Eagles trade DT Bruce Hector to Cardinals for S Rudy Ford

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded defensive tackle Bruce Hector to the Arizona Cardinals for safety Rudy Ford, Ian Rapoport is reporting.

Ford, a former Auburn defensive back, was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the sixth round, 208th overall, in the 2017 NFL Draft. He played in 10 games his rookie season as a core special teamer before suffering a knee injury. He was placed on injured reserve.

Hector signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He was waived by the Eagles on October 2 of last season and signed to their practice squad two days later. In his rookie season, Hector played in eight games, recording two tackles and a half of a sack.
