Eagles top the Cowboys as the best run-blocking unit in NFL according to PFF

The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will compete for NFC East supremacy this season, with the winner of the division likely having a leg up on a top-seed in the playoffs and a favorable road to the Super Bowl. Both offenses will be led by high-powered skill position players and top-notch offensive linemen.

Earlier we reported that the Eagles offensive line topped the Cowboys in a revised ranking of the top overall groups in the NFL. Well, now the Eagles have landed at No. 1 ahead of Dallas in a ranking of the top run-blocking units in football by Pro Football Focus.

Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard should have plenty of room running behind Jason Kelce, the NFL’s leading (92.9) run-blocker over the past three seasons. At right tackle, Lane Johnson has been one of the league’s best run-blockers at tackle, posting a run-blocking grade of 84.7, fourth among tackles with 1,000 or more offensive snaps since 2016.
