Eagles to sign tight end E.J. Jenkins to practice squad ahead of Week 9

The Eagles have a huge Week 9 showdown against the Cowboys coming up, and with Grant Calcaterra in the concussion protocol, the team is adding another tight end.

According to Mike Garafalo, E.J. Jenkins is signing to Philadelphia’s practice squad on Tuesday.

The #Eagles are signing TE E.J. Jenkins to their practice squad. He was with the #Jets in camp this summer as a WR-turned-TE after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech.

Philadelphia previously worked out Jekins and five other players ahead of the Week 3 matchup against Tampa Bay.

An undrafted free agent out of South Carolina, Jenkins caught two passes for 18 yards in his NFL preseason debut against the Cleveland Browns and then saw one pass for five yards in a matchup with the Carolina Panthers.
