The respect was always mutual between Haason Reddick and the Carolina Panthers. But, unfortunately for the union of both sides, the feeling of a return was not as strong.
That feeling became a reality on Monday, with Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network reporting a new home for the 27-year-old outside linebacker. Reddick will now be headed to the Philadelphia Eagles on a three-year, $45 million pact.

With the Panthers penny-pinching, presumably to position themselves for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, there was very little hope Reddick would re-up in Carolina. And his big numbers backed that notion up—with the former 13th overall selection able to hit as much as $49.5 million with $30 million guaranteed in his fresh deal.
Reddick, who led the Panthers with 11.0 sacks in 2021, is now the third defender parting ways with the organization today. Defensive lineman Morgan Fox and cornerback A.J. Bouye were released in a pair of moves that’ll add $6.5 million of extra salary cap space for the front office.
Carolina will also be in danger of losing two more key starters in Stephon Gilmore and Donte Jackson — both of which are also expected to land themselves a hefty bag.
