Eagles to face the Ravens with their 5th different starting OL combination in 6 games

The Philadelphia Eagles have dealt with a litany of injuries this season, and the offensive line has been especially impacted by the nagging injuries. On Friday, head coach Doug Pederson confirmed that Matt Pryor would miss Sunday’s game against the Ravens with an illness.

Veteran right guard Jamon Brown will start in Pryor’s place, making this the fifth game in six weeks where Carson Wentz will have a different offensive line group in front of him.

Per the chart from Jeff Skversky, Jason Kelce is the only Eagles start to play and finish all six games this season.

Two of the Eagles projected starters, right guard Brandon Brooks and left tackle Andre Dillard suffered season-ending injuries. Left guard Isaac Seumalo is on injured reserve with a knee injury he suffered in Week 2 while veteran Jason Peters, who returned to play right guard before moving to left tackle, has been on injured reserve with a toe injury since Week 3.

Lane Johnson has started the past four games after missing the season opener because of the August ankle surgery, but he was forced to leave Philadelphia’s Week 5 loss at the Steelers in the second half.

Johnson hasn’t practiced this week, and Matt Pryor will be out with an illness.

You can blame Carson Wentz for a lot of things, but not many signal-callers would be successful with an influx of moving parts at the skill positions and offensive line. Wentz has praised the young guys and their development, and the early playing time can only enhance their development going forward.
