As the Eagles start a new era under head coach Nick Sirianni, the trickle-down has started to impact Doug Pederson’s former staff.
Bo Wulf via the Atlanta Falcons official website is reporting that Eagles tight ends coach Justin Peelle is accepting the same position on Arthur Smith’s new staff.
Peelle played a large role in the development of three-time Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert.
Under Peelle’s tutelage, Philadelphia’s tight ends recorded the most receptions (417) and receiving yards (4,388) of any team in the NFL over the past three seasons.
Originally selected by the Chargers in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL Draft, Peelle played 10-seasons in the NFL with the Chargers (2002-05), Miami Dolphins (2006-07), Atlanta Falcons (2008-10), and San Francisco 49ers (2011), logging 123 receptions for 1,003 yards and 12 touchdowns in 151 career games.
