Eagles’ TE Dallas Goedert loses a bet with Carson Wentz, donates $1k to NDSU

Carson Wentz and Dallas Goedert share a common bond as the quarterback and tight end for the Eagles, despite an intense rivalry off the field surrounding their alma maters.

Wentz was a legend and National Champion at North Dakota State, while Goedert was his rival and championship competitor at South Dakota State. The teams match up each year during the regular season and routinely meet again in the FCS playoffs.

This past weekend, the two teams met again, with Wentz’s North Dakota State Bison moving to 8-0 on the season with a 23-16 win over South Dakota State, who dropped to 6-2 on the season. On Wednesday, Carson Wentz provided proof that Goedert has paid up on the latest installment of the rivalry, posting a huge check from the Eagles tight end, with a $1,000 donation to the North Dakota Stae football program over his own locker.

Wentz confirmed the donation went to the Bison football program, posting this picture with his talented tight end.

Goedert was also forced to wear a North Dakota State sweatshirt, for the second year in a row.
