The Eagles added a deep threat receiver in TCU wideout Jalen Reagor with the 21st pick in the NFL draft. They didn't make the splashy trade up the draft board that some hoped when Oklahoma receiver CeeDee Lamb slid down the draft board into the Cowboys' grasp, but Reagor is considered one of the best deep threats in the class. He ran a 4.47 40-yard dash in the draft, but draft analysts believe he plays faster than that.
He saw a drop in production from his sophomore and junior seasons, but it was mostly due to a change at quarterback.
Here's Pro Football Focus' scouting report:
"There's no way to sugar coat it, the production was bad for Reagor this season. However, there are legit excuses for that, like him statically lining up at right wide receiver every snap, almost never getting thrown screens, and having one of the worst quarterback situations in the country. The ability to consistently get behind defenses was still very much there even if the numbers don't show it. I'll take an explosive athlete with ball skills like Reagor's every day of the week."
