It didn’t take long for safety Andrew Sendejo to find a new home after the Vikings declined to pick up his option for the 2019 season.
On Tuesday, the Eagles announced they have signed Sendejo, who spent the previous eight seasons with the Vikings.
Sendejo will be Philadelphia’s third safety.
Sendejo had started 58 out of 93 games with the Vikings, but due to injury, he played in just five games in 2018. His replacement, Anthony Harris, emerged as one of the better safeties in the league during Sendejo’s absence, thus making Sendejo expendable.
The Vikings cleared $5.5 million by letting Sendejo go.
