The Philadelphia Eagles appear set to proceed with the linebackers on the roster as the team announced the signing of journeyman linebacker Asantay Brown to a deal. The team also announced that Alex Brown has been waived a week after being claimed from the 49ers.
Brown spent time on the Eagles practice squad last season. At 6 feet and 215 pounds, Brown looks more like a safety than he does an NFL linebacker, but he does bring plenty of versatility. A safety his first two years at Western Michigan, Brown was moved to linebacker for his final two seasons in college.
