Eagles sign former Steelers LB L.J. Fort to three-year contract

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been busy retaining many of their own free agents. But in the case of linebacker L.J. Fort, he is one they let get away. Multiple sources including Steelers ESPN report Jeremy Fowler is reporting Fort has signed a three-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Forst really became a big part of the Pittsburgh defense late last season. Fort was only listed as the starter two weeks in 2018 but played nearly 30 percent of snaps all season. This was due in large part to his speed. Fort was used heavily in the nickel and dime because he was fast enough to run and cover wide receivers and tight ends.
