Eagles sign DT Akeem Spence

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed defensive tackle Akeem Spence to replace the injured Malik Jackson, Jeff McLane is reporting.

Last season with Miami, Spence started all 16 games, recording 42 tackles, 2 sacks, 6 tackles for loss, and 9 quarterback hits. During his NFL career, Spence has played in 88 games with 57 starts, racking up 177 tackles (106 solos), 10.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries.
