Eagles sign AAF star WR Charles Johnson to deal

Orlando Apollos star WR Charles Johnson is returning to the NFL, as the former Viking star has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Johnson appeared set to rewrite the AAF record books as he had 45 catches for 687 yards and five touchdowns in eight games with the Orlando Apollos. Johnson is now one of three former AAF guys to sign deals with the Eagles, joining Greg Ward and quarterback Luis Perez.

During his NFL career, Johnson has been on five different NFL teams since entering the league as a seventh-round pick in 2013. With the Vikings, Johnson appeared in 39 games over three seasons, amassing 475 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns in 2014.0 and he’s
