The Philadelphia Eagles are a little less than two weeks away from the start of their 2020 NFL training camp and one NFL analyst with ties to the city and the teams believe some news will be made in the coming days.
Brian Baldinger is a former Eagles player and currently works as an analyst for the team during the preseason and for NFL Network during the regular season.
Baldinger sent social media into a buzz when he revealed that a little birdy passed along the news that the Eagles could be prepared to make a move this week that could greatly “improve the roster.”
With the Eagles linked to several big named free agents on the open market and Yannick Ngakoue, here are five possible transactions that Howie Roseman and company could make this week.

1. Jadeveon Clowney bets on himself for a season
Clowney has been asked to be a star in Houston and with the Seattle Seahawks, but here in Philadelphia, quarterback pressures reign supreme. Some combination of Clowney, Brandon Graham, Javon Hargrave, and Fletcher Cox would provide pressure that hasn’t been seen around these parts since the Minister of Defense wreaked havoc with Jerome Brown and Clyde Simmons.
For Clowney in Philadelphia, it would be less about the sacks and more about the pressure he would take off of Brandon Graham and his other running mates.

2. Jason Peters returns for one last ride
Doug Pederson has made it clear that he’s prepared to move on with Andre Dillard, but Peters to the Eagles has been more of a discussion centered on when he’ll return and not if the Birds are interested.

3. Logan Ryan joins a now elite secondary
Ryan has yet to sign with his hometown Jets, and the Eagles have been mentioned several times as a possible landing spot for the rugged cornerback.
A smart, instinctive hybrid defensive back, Ryan would vibe nicely with an Eagles secondary that is embracing versatile defenders. Ryan can play the slot, safety, and could make the Eagles that much tougher to gameplan for.
Last season his 18 passes defended were third-most in the league, while he also added 4.5 sacks, eight quarterback hits, 113 tackles, and four interceptions.

4. LeSean McCoy (See Jason Peters)
McCoy has been angling to return to the Eagles, but if he couldn’t get any playing time during the Chiefs Super Bowl run, then how can this be the moves that makes the Eagles roster that much better?
A member of the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 2010s, McCoy will almost certainly be a Hall of Famer one day and adding to his 11,000+ career rushing yards in one final go-round with the Eagles can only do wonders for both parties going forward.

5. Eagles land Devonta Freeman to compliment Miles Sanders
The Falcons released Freeman to free up cap space after a season in which he had 1,066 yards from scrimmage but averaged just 3.6 yards per carry, but Freeman could be the perfect complimentary piece to Miles Sanders in a backup role.
He’s reportedly weighed other offers in the past but could have turned his attention back to the Eagles if nothing substantial materialized.

6. Larry Warford signs to add even more depth to the Eagles offensive line
Matt Pryor spent two seasons learning the Eagles’ offense and was the Eagles’ choice to replace Brandon Brooks in the Birds Wild Card loss to the Seattle Seahawks, so he should be the logical choice at right guard.
If the Eagles want to shake things up and add more competition, Warford could be just the guy to bring the best out of Pryor.
A cap casualty of the Saints, the three-time Pro-Bowler is still without a team after being one of the top guards in the NFL last season. The best player on the market, Warford could get the call.
