Eagles safety K’Von Wallace named one of the biggest steals of NFL Draft weekend by PFF

The Philadelphia Eagles hope they’ve found the next Brian Dawkins in former Clemson All-American safety K’Von Wallace.

listed at 5-11, 206, Wallace played some slot at Clemson, was used as a blitzer, and is more of a box safety that makes his presence felt on every down.

Pro Football Focus recently unveiled a list of the biggest steals from the weekends NFL Draft and the Eagles new defensive weapon was among the group.

PICK 127 — CB K’VON WALLACE, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
PFF Big Board rank: 60
With his physicality, instincts, and quicks, Wallace can play in the slot or box at an incredibly high level and should have been a second-round pick. Wallace was consistently solid in coverage at Clemson, but he took a huge step forward in 2019, logging an 89.7 coverage grade and combining for 10 pass breakups and interceptions (more than what he combined for in his last three years).

His improvement in coverage will bring the biggest value to the Eagles who desperately need his versatility in the secondary.

Wallace is athletic, sold, and will bring big-game experience from his time at Clemson.
