Eagles rule Lane Johnson out for game vs. the Cowboys

The Philadelphia Eagles will have to beat the Cowboys and snap their four-game losing streak to Dallas without the services of Lane Johnson, as the team has ruled the star right tackle out for Sunday’s showdown.

Doug Pederson had previously stated that Johnson was trending in the right direction, but it would have a major feat for the right tackle to play on a high ankle sprain less two weeks after suffering the injury.

Johnson’s initial injury prognosis was in the four to six weeks range and the Eagles didn’t want to risk his future health by playing him in such a high stakes game.
