Jordan Mailata was the subject of trade speculation on Monday after he missed the Eagles practice with a mysterious ailment. On Tuesday, Doug Pederson confirmed that Mailata is simply dealing with a lower back injury, and is getting more test done on the area.
On Monday, the Eagles right tackle was deemed absent for an undisclosed reason according to Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane and the Birds gave no answer, causing further confusion.
Mailata played the majority of the Eagles preseason snaps at right tackle and could fetch trade value because of his power and athleticism.
