Eagles’ Rodney McLeod on whether he’ll be ready for training camp

Rodney McLeod is an important cog in what makes the Eagles defense go and his return for the 2019 season will be pertinent to the Birds performing at a Super Bowl level. McLeod is in the final year of his contract after reworking his deal this offseason, and after recovering from a torn ACL, this season is important for him as well as the team.

McLeod updated his recovery on his knee and after being able to do individual drills at the team’s three-day minicamp, told the teams official website that he “thinks he’ll be ready to go.”

“I think I’ll be ready for camp,” McLeod said.

“ I can taste it,” McLeod said. “I feel like it’s so close and I’m excited about that. It’s been a long, long road and a lot of hard work. I know I can’t let up now. It’s the stretch run.”

It’ll be imperative for McLoed to hit the ground running, as he’ll be challenged at safety by veterans Andrew Sendejo and Blake Countess.
