Eagles’ Rodney McLeod aiming to make his return in 3rd preseason game vs. Ravens

Rodney McLeod has been chomping at the bit to return to game action and the Philadelphia Eagles safety has set a target date to return to the field. McLeod has been taking part in 7-on-7 drills and recently told The Inquirer that he can’t wait to rejoin his teammates.

“Not too many bad days, which is good,” McLeod said when asked about the knee. “It’s good for [doctors and trainers] to hear in the training room. As I continue to come back, let them know how I’m feeling; they continue to add more reps. … I’m excited, just ready to get out there and fly around.”

McLeod even has a target date for return, telling the media in attendance that he’s hopeful to be available to shake the rust off in the Eagles third preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens.

“You treat that game as an actual regular-season game, so I’m looking forward to that,” he said. “… We’ll just see.”

McLeod restructured his contract during the offseason so he could remain with the Eagles and will likely become a free agent at seasons end.
