Eagles release WR Charles Johnson from IR with an injury settlement

The Philadelphia Eagles have permanently moved on from wide receiver Charles Johnson. After having previously placed the former AAF star on injured reserve, the Birds have released Johnson from injured reserve with a settlement.

In eight games in the AAF season, Johnson had 45 catches for 687 yards and five touchdowns before the league folded. During his NFL career, Johnson appeared in 39 regular-season games with the Vikings from 2014 through 2016.
