Eagles release TE Alex Ellis

Josh Perkins appears to be the Eagles third tight end on the depth chart after Alex Ellis was just released according to Mike Kaye of NJ.com.

Ellis had two catches for 19 yards against the Jets and had a strong performance against the Ravens, hauling in a touchdown pass as well. He should receive strong interest on the waiver wire.
