Eagles RB Jordan Howard has 3rd most rushing yards in NFL since 2016

The Philadelphia Eagles don’t believe in a feature back for their offense, but in Jordan Howard, Howie Roseman and company have a guy that’s about his yardage. Howard, acquired from the Bears for a sixth-round pick in 2020, lost his spot in Chicago last season, but don’t get it confused about his production.

According to Dave Zangaro, Howard has the 3rd most rushing yards in the NFL since 2016, finishing behind two stars ahead of him.

Howard is a short-yardage monster and should allow the Eagles to easily be much better on 3rd down. Howard converted 23 of 31 runs of third- and fourth-and-less-than 2 yards last season, a 74 percent conversion rate. Howard finished behind Ezekiel Elliott, who converted 35-46, a conversion rate of 76.
