Eagles Pro Bowl RG Brandon Brooks back in the gym six weeks after Achilles surgery

Brandon Brooks availability for the 2019 NFL season seemed to be in doubt after the Pro Bowl right guard torn his Achilles during the NFC divisional round loss to the New Orleans Saints. Now some six weeks after surgery, Brooks is battling to get healthy and posted this video of himself getting back into the gym.

Most Achilles surgeries require an 8-9 month timeline for a return, meaning Brooks could be looking at an early October return at best. The likely scenario would see the Eagles place Brooks on the PUP list to start the season, allowing for a return to the lineup sometime after weeks six or later.
