Eagles preparing to make a big splash in 1st-round of the NFL Draft?

The Philadelphia Eagles are in pursuit of a big named wide receiver in the NFL draft and the team could have their eyes on the biggest fish on the board.

We’ve previously discussed the Eagles likely having to trade up to secure the services of a stud and CeeDee Lamb could be that player of interest.

Joe Tordy of 97.5 The Fanatic is reporting that Eagles GM Howie Roseman covets the former Oklahoma All-American and could make a full-court press to acquire him.

Roseman usually plays it close to the vest with information, but there’s no doubt that Lamb is the “apple” of everyone’s eye.

Lamb would take the Eagles offense to another level and give Carson Wentz his most talented pass-catcher since entering the NFL in 2016.

After his dazzling pro-day performance at Oklahoma, Lamb certainly cemented his status as the player the Eagles must be aggressive in pursuing during next week’s NFL Draft.

Lamb was a first-team All-American after a season that saw him post 62 receptions for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns.

For the Eagles to make such a huge move, they’ll need to divvy up the proper compensation to go from No. 21 to the No. 10 pick, at the least.

Last year, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded up from pick No. 20 overall to pick No. 10 in the draft to select all-world linebacker Devin Bush.

Pittsburgh had to part with a first-round pick (No. 20), the 52nd overall pick and a 2020 third-rounder. The year before, Buffalo moved up from 22 to 16 by including a third and a fifth-round pick in the deal.

With only eight picks, Roseman would have to get creative, but crazier things have happened.
