Eagles place WR Charles Johnson on IR; Make Riley Mayfield signing official

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced that wide receiver Charles Johnson has been placed on injured reserve and that right tackle Riley Mayfield has been added to the roster.

Johnson signed with the Birds after catching 45 catches for 687 yards and five touchdowns with Orlando’s Alliance of American Football team before the league folded. Johnson suffered an ankle injury and had three catches for 23 yards in the preseason.
