Eagles officially sign Johnathan Cyprien; Waive S Godwin Igwebuike

In a move that is now official, the Philadelphia Eagles have signed safety Johnathan Cyprien to a one-year deal and waived safety Godwin Igwebuike to make room on the roster.

Igwebuike, a former Northwestern Wildcats defensive back, was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and was waived during training camp. He then signed to the Bucs’ practice squad.

Igwebuike played 64 special teams snaps between the 49ers and Buccaneers last season, recording two total tackles.
