Eagles offered multiple picks for former Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey

There’s been back and forth conversation on exactly how much effort Eagles general manager, Howie Roseman put into acquiring a then disgruntled Jalen Ramsey from the Jacksonville Jaguars. There were multiple reports that Roseman maybe didn’t do enough, with others stating that the Eagles did offer two first-round picks.

Ramsey was eventually traded to the LA Rams for two first-round picks and a fourth-round pick in 2021. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles were in play for Ramsey from the beginning but lost out after Roseman only offered a first and second-round pick to Jacksonville for compensation.

According to Schefter, the Eagles were the favorites until LA got involved, and in the end, Roseman was simply unwilling to give up more than a first- and a second-round pick, for Ramsey, especially with the Birds getting four injured cornerbacks back on the roster over the next two weeks.
