Eagles OC Mike Groh compared Ryan Kerrigan’s disruption to a “rolling ball of blades”

When the Philadelphia Eagles matchup with the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon, one battle to watch will be Lane Johnson vs. Ryan Kerrigan on the outside. To say that Kerrigan has terrorized the Eagles would be an understatement.

In 16 career games against the Eagles, Kerrigan has amassed 58 total tackles, 20 quarterback hits, 13 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 2 passes defended, 1 INT and one touchdown.

On Thursday, while describing the chaos Kerrigan causes for the Eagles, Groh referred to Kerrigan as a “rolling ball of butcher blades.”

Recently, star right tackle Lane Johnson shared his thoughts on what it’s like to compete against Kerrigan twice a season.

‘It sucks.’

He’s just a guy that’s relentless. He doesn’t stop, and that’s the mentality I’m going against. As far as competing against him, I have to match him.

As an Eagles fan, just imagine Kerrigan coming around the edge with blades coming out of his arms, chopping up everything that gets in his path, on his way to quarterback Carson Wentz.
