Eagles’ Malcolm Jenkins responds to Colin Kaepernick settling collusion case with the NFL

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid has reached a settlement with the NFL in their collusion case according to attorney Mark Geragos, who broke the news on Friday via Twitter:

Kaepernick, who hasn’t played in almost three years, filed the lawsuit in November 2017 against the league, accusing the team owners of colluding to keep him out of the NFL. In Kaepernick’s initial season of kneeling, Malcolm Jenkins, Chris Long and other members of the Philadelphia Eagles joined Kaepernick’s protests during the national anthem.

Jenkins and his Players Coalition would eventually split from Kaepernick and Reid’s group, after the Panthers safety, then with the 49ers, accused Jenkins of selling out the movement when he agreed to stop protesting in exchange for the NFL donating millions to social justice causes.

On Friday, Jenkins had nothing but love for the two men, offering more support on social media.

Jenkins had repeatedly said he supports Reid and Kaepernick no matter what and believes they were both treated unfairly by the NFL.
