Malcolm Jenkins played every snap in 18 games for the Philadelphia Eagles the last season, so he’s probably best analyzing and breaking down his opponent like none other. The Eagles star safety was a guest on NFL Films analyst Brian Baldinger’s show, NFL Game Pass Film Sessions and when the discussion shifted to the top running backs in the league, Jenkins didn’t allow his rivalry with the Cowboys to dim his appreciation for their star who’s currently in the midst of a holdout.
“I’d say Ezekiel Elliott is probably the No. 1 contact back in the league right now,” Jenkins said. “He’s looking to punish guys. He’s not trying to juke you. He’ll jump over you every now and then if you keep trying to go low, but he’s fine with just punishing the defender at the end of it.”
It’s high praise for the former No. 4 overall pick who has gained over 4,048 rushing yards over his first three NFL seasons in the NFL.
