Eagles listed among the favorites in the NFC with Rams, Saints

The Philadelphia Eagles were already one of the teams to beat in the NFC East before the start off free agency, but after some strong acquisitions and a bevy of draft picks ready to be used, the Birds now sit at the top of the vaunted National Football Conference.

NFL.com has the Eagles as one of the top three teams in the NFC capable of booking a trip to Super Bowl 54 in Miami, with the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints as the other obvious top two teams.

Per NFL.com:
There was a lot of concern in Philadelphia about the team’s lack of cap space entering February. Then general manager Howie Roseman found a way to bring in DeSean Jackson, Malik Jackson and Jordan Howard without losing that much. The strength on both the offensive and defensive lines combined with Carson Wentz being another year removed from ACL surgery should give the Eagles some margin for error, especially if their awful injury luck turns around.

The Eagles addition of DeSean Jackson gives the team the deep threat that they’ve lacked since he was run out of town by Chip Kelly. Jordan Howard gives the Eagles a true No. 1 running back, while the addition of Malik Jackson should allow the Birds to have one of the top defensive fronts in football. Andrew Sendejo was signed as a No. 3 safety and L.J. Fort adds depth to the linebacker corp.
