Eagles land Rashard Lawrence, Lavert Hill in Draft Wire’s 2020 mock

The 2019 NFL season has yet to start, but you can best believe that fans around the league are keeping their eyes out for potential roster additions during the 2020 NFL Draft. College football will trot out some powerhouse names, and with the Eagles firmly entrenched almost everywhere, next years draft will be simply about strengthing a few key positions.

Luke Easterling and the guys over at Draft Wire released their latest two-round mock draft with the order determined based on current Super Bowl odds. With the Eagles among the favorites in the NFC and the NFL, Draft Wire projected the Eagles to pick at No. 26 in the first round and at No. 56 in the second. With both picks, the Eagles selected Power 5 studs.

Pick No. 26 overall, Rashard Lawrence | DL | LSU
Pick No. 58 overall, Lavert Hill | CB | Michigan

The 6-foot-3, 317-pound Lawrence announced he was returning to LSU, after having his best season as a Tiger in 2018 where he racked up four sacks and 54 tackles. Lawrence has a career total of 92 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 23 starts. He earned MVP defensive MVP honors at the Fiesta Bowl after he racked up a pair of sacks and five tackles in a win over UCF.

At No. 58 overall, Michigan’s Lavert Hill is a cornerback who returned to Ann Arbor for his senior season, after the Detroit native was named a first-team All-Big Ten selection at cornerback in 2018 and after being named to the second-team in 2017.

Lavert is the younger brother of current Seattle Seahawks safety and former Wolverine defensive back Delano Hill.
