With Week 5 of the NFL season in the books, the Eagles are rising in the latest USA TODAY power rankings, coming in at No. 7, one spot behind the undefeated San Francisco 49ers.
7. Eagles (9): They’ve earned share of first place atop NFC East, but it could be tough to keep with next three on road at Minnesota, Dallas and Buffalo.
The Eagles were the highest-ranked NFC East team, with the Cowboys falling all the way to 13 after their second straight loss, this time to the Green Bay Packers. The New York Giants moved up to No. 24, while the Washington Redskins once again were next to last.
