Eagles fans received some good news on Tuesday when Doug Pederson confirmed that Lane Johnson and Dallas Goedert are on schedule for the teams season opener against the Redskins. Johnson and Goedert have been held out of practices as a precaution, while both recover from lower-body injuries.
Johnson (knee) and Goedert (calf) have previously been classified as “week-to-week” as Eagles brass felt uncomfortable risking further injury over meaningless preseason games.
Johnson sat out the Eagles preseason loss to the Titans and Goedert caught three passes for 50 yards on 12 total snaps in that same ball game.
