The Philadelphia Eagles are set to make several changes to their roster and with T.J. Edwards fully capable of playing middle linebacker in the NFL, will the Birds be willing to pay nearly $10 million for the services of Nigel Bradham?
The Eagles will have until the end of the league year (March 17) to either pick up or decline a team option on the 31-year-old linebacker.
Before the 2018 NFL season, Bradham signed a five-year, $40 million deal, with plenty of outs for the Eagles, including team options in the final three seasons.
According to Over The Cap, the Eagles can cut him and save $4.5 million in cap space, and if Bradham is to return, it’ll be at a much lower rate.
Bradham’s production has dropped over the past few seasons, but he still leads the team in tackles since signing with the Eagles after leaving Buffalo as a free agent.
The Eagles could look to add a more athletic and versatile linebacker in his place, as the huge offseason changes loom.
