Eagles had discussions with ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky about joining the coaching staff

The Philadelphia Eagles have taken almost a month to fill their offensive coordinator vacancy, but it appears Doug Pederson was hard at work trying to improve personnel.

Dan Orlovsky is flourishing in his role as NFL analyst on ESPN and he’s been one of Carson Wentz’s biggest supporters. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that when the Eagles season ended and Doug Pederson fired Mike Groh, Orlovsky was one of the first calls the Birds head coach made per John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Adam Schefter had previously reported via Orlovsky, that the former NFL quarterback had in fact been receiving calls from NFL teams to gauge his interest in leaving the network for an offensive coaching job.

Orlovsky reportedly has been contacted by multiple teams this year about joining their offensive staff.

It appears the Eagles were one of those teams.
