Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni values the work put in over two days of joint practices so much, that most of his starting lineup with rest in the preseason finale.
That has been the norm in past preseason, but with the schedule reduced to three games instead of four, there was some discussion about Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith getting in-game action.
Instead, the Eagles quarterback and first-round pick won’t take the field together until the season opener at Atlanta in almost two weeks.
With the starters resting, Nick Mullens and Joe Flacco will see the bulk of the action, while guys on the bubble will work to secure a spot on the 53 man roster.
