Eagles earn $274.3M of a record $8.78B revenue split between all 32 NFL teams

NBA free agency has been the talk of the summer, but with NFL training camps set to start in 12 days, the business of the NFL will once again take center stage. Most NFL franchises are private in regards to profit sharing and just how much money is brought in each fiscal year. Because the Green Bay Packers are the NFL’s only public entity, financial information about the franchise and other NFL teams has been revealed to the masses.

On Friday, Darren Rovell of The Action Network reported that the NFL shared $8.78 billion in national revenue with all 32 teams. In doing the math, that means the Philadelphia Eagles and the 31 other teams pocketed $274.3 million in revenue last season, via the Packers’ public financial figures.

Rovell reported that NFL revenue is up 33 percent since 2013 when each team earned $187.7 million. Thus the long-standing discussions about the players getting guaranteed contracts and more money, similar to their NBA counterparts.

Last year, each time rake in $255.9 million each via the split.
