Malik Jackson’s first season with the Philadelphia Eagles ended abruptly after the star defensive tackle suffered a foot injury, but that hasn’t stopped him from making his presence felt through service to others.
Jackson will join Sacramento Kings star Harrison Barnes, in helping to cover the funeral cost for Atatiana Jefferson, who was fatally shot through her window by a Texas police officer according to the Dallas Morning News.
Harrison and his wife, Brittany Barnes will pay for most of the funeral service, with Jackson covering the remainder of the cost per attorney, Lee Merritt.
Police were called to Jefferson’s Fort Worth home early Saturday after a neighbor noticed her door was left open and grew concerned, calling the authorities to come to check out the house.
