Eagles DT Javon Hargrave sidelined ‘multiple weeks’ with upper-body injury

In what is hopefully only a precautionary measure, Philadelphia Eagles star defensive tackle Javon Hargrave will be out “multiple weeks” because of an upper-body injury The Inquirer’s Jeff McLane confirmed.

#Eagles will be cautious with injuries in early going, so day to day or even multiple week injuries may not be of great concern. But Javon Hargrave’s “upper body” injury of multiple weeks is of obvious concern. Was a key addition this offseason. DT depth has been an issue.

Hargrave signed a three-year contract worth $39 million back in March. Starting defensive end Derek Barnett is listed as week-to-week with a lower-body injury, while second-year wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside and right guard Jason Peters are both listed as day-to-day with lower-body injuries.
