Eagles’ DE Derek Barnett fined $28K for hit that gave Packers RB Jamaal Williams a concussion

The NFL fined Eagles defensive end Derek Barnett $28,075 for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Jamaal Williams during Philadelphia’s Week 4 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Eagles DE Derek Barnett was fined $28,075 for his hit that concussed #Packers RB Jamaal Williams on Green Bay's first offensive play last Thursday. Williams is also not playing tomorrow because of the hit.

Williams suffered a concussion and had to be stretchered off the field after Barnett’s late hit on a running play that was blown dead.

Barnett is truly lucky he wasn’t suspended for the hit.
