Eagles DE Chris Long announces his retirement in style

In a move that can only be described as Chris Long like, the Game of Thrones critic and Eagles defensive end announced his retirement via Twitter.

Cheers. Been a hell of a journey. Eleven years and I can honestly say I put my soul into every minute of it. Highs and lows. I’ve seen them both and I appreciate the perspective. Gratitude and love to those who lifted me up. pic.twitter.com/Ap8zi73Ifl

The 34-year-old Long spent two seasons with the Eagles after winning a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots.

During his two seasons in Philadelphia, Long registered 51.0 tackles and 11.5 sacks en route to helping the Eagles beat the Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

Long spent eight years with the St. Louis Rams after being selected him No. 2 overall in the 2008 NFL draft
