Eagles could sit Alshon Jeffery for 1-2 weeks while he recovers from a calf strain

The NFL season is a marathon and not a sprint, so with Alshon Jeffery dealing with a calf strain, the Eagles could choose to sit him for their next two ball games according to Ian Rapoport.

Jeffery logged a handful of plays before exiting on Sunday night, and with the Eagles schedule to host the Lions and travel to Green Bay in the next 11 days, the teams medical staff would be wise to sit Jeffery or keep him on a pitch count.

DeSean Jackson is reportedly dealing with a groin injury, but is hopeful of playing against the Lions on Sunday.
