Eagles could have interest in Vinny Curry after his release from the Buccaneers

The Philadelphia Eagles need help and depth at the defensive end position, but could a 30-year-old former Bird be the answer? Vinny Curry has been released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after just one season the team announced.

Last offseason, after refusing a pay cut, the Philadelphia Eagles released Curry and he went on to sign a three-year, $23 million with Tampa last March. Curry made $6.5 million in 2018. Curry was due $5 million of his $8 million base salary on the fifth day of the 2019 league year if he was still on the roster, according to Over The Cap.

Curry had just 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 12 games with Tampa Bay and spent much of the season dealing with an ankle injury. Now the question has to be asked, can Curry, likely on the downside of his career, help the Eagles continue their push for NFC dominance?
