Eagles could have interest in Jordan Matthews who has been released by the 49ers

The Eagles need help at wide receiver and one former Philadelphia second-round pick could provide a known target for Carson Wentz. Adam Caplan is reporting that the 49ers have released wide receiver, Jordan Matthews.

Matthews appeared in one game for San Francisco this season and didn’t fit with Kyle Shanahan’s offense. Matthews has chemistry with Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz and the receiver had one of his best seasons as a pro during Wentz rookie campaign in 2016.

Matthews isn’t the big play wideout that the Eagles so desperately need, but he’d be a definite upgrade over Mack Hollins in the lineup.
