Eagles announce the signing of LB L.J. Fort to a 3-year deal

The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the signing of former Steelers linebacker L.J. Fort to a three-year deal, $5.6 million deal.

The former special teams ace for the Steelers, Fort racked up 48 tackles, three tackles for loss, and a sack in 15 games (two starts) in Pittsburgh. Fort was more of a situational player on third down, logging 29 percent of the snaps on defense while flourishing on special teams.

Fort, a journeyman, has spent time with the Browns, Broncos, Seahawks, Bengals, Patriots, and Steelers prior to signing with the Birds.
