Eagles Announce Decision on Franchise Stalwart Brandon Graham for 2024 Season

The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Saturday that they signed veteran pass rusher Brandon Graham to a one-year extension.

Graham has spent his entire career with the Eagles, getting drafted by Philadelphia in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft. In 14 seasons, Graham has played in 195 games and totaled 73 sacks, including a career-high 11 sacks just two years ago.

The 35-year-old was set to hit free agency this week, but he was unlikely to play anywhere else other than Philadelphia. Graham told Eagles.com that his plan is to retire an Eagle.

“I’m happy to stay here and finish out my career,” Graham said. “My career is a big testament to the organization.”

Graham also told CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson that he wanted to play 15 years in the league, and he appreciates being able to play for the same team throughout his career.

“I did it because I always wanted to get to 15,” he said. “I’m happy that the team wanted me one more year.”

Graham is currently fourth on the Eagles’ all-time sacks list with his 73, and just 3.5 sacks away from passing Clyde Simmons for third. While Graham is returning, the Eagles pass rush could still look different in 2024 as the team is reportedly exploring trades for both Josh Sweat and Haason Reddick.
