Eagles announce 9 additions to practice squad, led by WR Greg Ward

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms with nine players who will join their practice squad, led by wide receiver Greg Ward, who was a training camp and preseason standout.

For Howie Roseman and Doug Pederson, it was a success to be able to hold on to Ward and tight end Josh Perkins without using a spot on the 53-man roster. Ward can serve as a scout-team quarterback in addition to being a reserve wideout. Either Perkins or Alex Ellis will eventually be the third tight end on the roster.

Bruce Hector is also back at the NovaCare Complex after being cut over the weekend. Former Richmond quarterback Kyle Lauletta comes over from the New York Giants, confirming that the Clayton Thorson experiment was a failure.

The Eagles still have one spot open on the practice squad.
