Eagles agree to contract extension with OL Isaac Seumalo

The Philadelphia Eagles have locked up one of their own again, this time agreeing to a contract extension with guard Isaac Seumalo, that will keep him with the club thru 2022.

A third-round pick in 2016, Seumalo has played in 36 career regular-season games (15 starts) at three different positions, only allowing 2.0 sacks on 334 pass attempts this past season.

Seumalo, a building block on the Eagles highly rated line, will start at guard this season and could replace Jason Kelce at center when he decides to retire. Seumalo’s re-signing could mean the end for Stefen Wisniewski in Philadelphia unless brass feels Brandon Brooks return from Achilles surgery could be delayed.
